On the fourth Wednesday of each month, Lutheran
Church of Hope provides a meal for Clare House, a 30 day shelter, for homeless women and children managed by Catholic Social
Services. Responsibility for providing the Clare House meals is shared within the congregation. If you would like to sign up
for a month please contact Joyce Hudson at 677-3919 or clendaniel_joyce@yahoo.com.
Before purchasing food for the meal, please Call Laura, the Clare House Manager, at 563-4545. You will need to confirm the number of residents, adult and children, for which you will be providing the evening meal. There is only one staff member on duty in the evening, therefore, the meals should be prepared or easy to assemble. Recommendations are casseroles, stews, soup, pizza, chicken, hot pots, corn dog, etc. (They prefer no pastas.) Ask the manager for suggestions and what they've had recently. The manager prefers the meals be delivered by 3 PM.
Costco is a great place to shop for bulk items. If you have extra funds, Clare House always needs paper
products and toilet paper. Sometimes they have special needs such as large diapers and over the counter medications. They greatly
appreciate donations. Thank you for your service!
